I saw Drive yesterday and was very pleasantly surprised. It was more of an indie or european film affair then a typical car chase/action movie. What really set the tone was the electric/synthpop soundtrack with a strong reminiscence of the eighties.
I couldn’t agree more. It felt like a Tarantino film, only subtle and with tolerable protagonists. Dreamy cast, synthy soundtrack (Desire, College, Kadinsky). Two thumbs.
A lot like Tangerine Dream’s pieces on the soundtrack for RISKY BUSINESS.
